Présentation
The teaching will be mostly in English and will include visits in the Geotech laboratory of IFREMER at Brest.
Section: Rocks elastoplasticity
Language: French and English
CM: Basic aspects of elasto-plasticity behaviors based on experimental results 2.5h
TP : modelling of non-linear behavior in rocks under various loads using a FEM method 5h (+ individual work)
Section : Porous media
CM: The student will be introduced to the fundamentals of porous media, void ratio, effective stress, drained/undrained behavior, strength. One homework task/s will be requested. Duration: 2.5h
TP: During the visit to the Geotech lab in IFREMER, the students will be familiarized with the most classical tests in Geotech: classification, consolidation, triaxial. Some homework task will be requested. Duration: 6 h

UE Tectonophysics (includes initiation to the use of ANSYSTM)
Objectifs
Cette UE a comme objectif d’introduire des concepts élémentaires en mécanique des roches, des sols et des milieux poreux. Elle inclue des activités pratiques (modélisations, essais en laboratoire)
This UE aims at introducing basic aspects of rock and soil mechanics, porous media and related phenomena. It includes practical courses (laboratory experiments, FEM modelling).
