Présentation

Introduction to British contemporary literature. 

The lecture course will follow up on the S1 survey, discussing English literature from modernism to the current era. The last weeks will explore the literary treatment of contemporary Britain in Graham Swift’s collection of stories.

The seminar course will discuss the short story as a genre and enable students to practise their close reading skills as they comment upon extract from the stories.
