  • Introduction to the history of the English language. 
  • Focus on the different linguistic influences that have shaped the English language. 
  • Objective : a better grasp of the evolution of the language from a phonological, morpho-syntactic and lexical perspective.

Compétences visées

  • Use concepts and theoretical frameworks in the study of one or more foreign languages in relation to the corresponding socio-cultural areas.
  • Link the productions of a given linguistic and cultural area at different times or these productions with those of other cultural areas in a comparative perspective.
